GARDAÍ HAVE APPEALED for information on a mountain bike they believe was used during the murder of a man in Darndale earlier this week.
Jordan Davis (22) was shot dead at around 4pm yesterday at a laneway adjacent to Our Lady Immaculate National School in Darndale. He was pushing his infant son in a buggy at the time.
A Fuji Nevada orange mountain bike with a rear mudguard, set of black ‘Vera’ wheels, black saddle with yellow stripes was later recovered on Belcamp Lane on the 22 May 2019.
Gardaí believe it was involved in the operation.
Gardaí said they would like to speak to any person who may have had this type bicycle stolen in the recent past.
They would also like to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to any person on a similar bike in the Darndale area, who knows where this bicycle was or who had possession of this bicycle in the days leading up to the murder.
They would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen the bicycle in the Darndale area between the hours of 3.30pm – 4.30pm on the 22 May 2019 or who saw the bicycle being abandoned on Belcamp lane on the 22 May 2019.
Finally, they would like to speak to any drivers,who were in the area of Darndale, Belcamp Lane, Malahide Road (R107), R139 between the hours of 3.30pm and 4.30pm on the day of the shooting and who may have possession of dashcam footage from their vehicles.

Davis and his friend Sean Little, both 22-years-old, were shot dead in the space of 24 hours in Dublin this week.
Little was found dead beside a car that had been set alight at Rowans Little, Walshestown, Balbriggan on Tuesday night. At 4pm the next day, Davis was gunned down.
Shortly before he was killed, Davis posted a tribute to his friend, Seán Little, who was found dead with gunshot wounds near the M1 motorway in Dublin the night before.
Sharing a picture of the pair, Davis wrote: “Rest in paradise, you were a gent.”
Speaking about the killings in Ballymun garda station, Assistant Commissioner Pat Leahy appealed to young people – young men in particular – not to get involved at any level in the drugs trade.
He said a potential “unintended consequence” of the force’s success in cracking down on the feuding Hutch and Kinahan gangs was the creation of a void that other gangs – and younger members of them – were fighting to fill.
